Environment Scanning & Therapy Integration

We are developing the ability to recreate real homes and schools in virtual reality — so children can practice navigating their actual environments before facing them in real life. This supports therapies like ABA and IBI at a scale never before possible.

  • 3D recreation of real home and school environments
  • Supports ABA, IBI, and occupational therapy
  • Reduces anxiety through safe practice
  • Requires funding to launch at scale

Our Journey

Where we've been — and where we're going.

ImpactVR is a young organization with big ambitions. Here's our story so far, and what we're building next.

🌱Founded2022

ImpactVR is born

ImpactVR was founded with a simple belief: every child deserves access to tools that help them grow. We began researching VR's potential in therapeutic settings.

🥽First Milestone2023

First headsets distributed

We distributed our first batch of preloaded VR headsets to families and therapists in our community, supporting ABA and IBI therapy goals.

💙Growth2024

100+ children supported

Our headset distribution program reached over 100 children. We partnered with therapy clinics and schools to expand our reach across the region.

🎮In Development2025

Custom VR game development begins

We began developing our first custom therapeutic VR games — life-skills experiences designed specifically for children with disabilities. Your support helps us finish them.

🏠In Development2025

Environment scanning program

We are building technology to scan real-world environments into VR — allowing children to virtually practice navigating their school, clinic, or home before doing so in real life.

🌍Vision2026+

National expansion

With continued support, we aim to expand our programs nationally — reaching children in rural communities, low-income households, and underserved regions across Canada and beyond.

Why It Matters

Every child deserves the chance to grow.

We believe technology should serve humanity — especially its most vulnerable members. Here is why ImpactVR exists.

"The moment a child realizes they can do something they couldn't do before — that moment is everything. That is what ImpactVR is working toward."

— ImpactVR Team
🌱

Building Independence

For many children with disabilities, everyday tasks can feel overwhelming. VR creates a safe, repeatable space where they can practice — tying shoes, navigating a grocery store, crossing the street — without the pressure of real-world consequences. Every small win in VR becomes a real-world breakthrough.

Increasing Confidence

Confidence grows through repetition and success. When a child completes a VR challenge — even a simple one — their brain registers that as a real achievement. Over time, these micro-victories accumulate into something profound: a child who believes they can.

❤️

Supporting Families

Families of children with disabilities carry an enormous weight. ImpactVR gives them a tool — not a cure, but a genuine support. A way to practice at home, to extend therapy sessions, to give their child more hours of meaningful engagement every week.

🌍

Making Therapy Accessible

Therapy is expensive. Waiting lists are long. Geography creates barriers. VR doesn't replace therapists — but it extends their reach. A preloaded headset can deliver structured therapeutic experiences to a child in a rural town, a low-income household, or a home where a therapist can't visit.

Real Stories

Voices from our community

"
"My son has autism and has always struggled with transitions. After just a few weeks using the ImpactVR headset to practice going to the grocery store, he walked in calmly for the first time ever. I cried in the parking lot."
